Inter-office Networking : DataLink

DataLink is an office to office data service that is designed to connect your office networks together as if they were one.

DataLink uses DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) technology and offers speeds of between 64Kb/s and 2MB/s between Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane as well as inter-city locations. DataLink allows data communications between inter-connecting offices to be seemless, reliable, easy and affordable.

DataLink delivers data between metropolitan offices on existing copper telephone lines. For inter-state office connectivity, DSL access technology is augmented with multiple data backbone connections from mainstream telecommunication carriers.

Businesses Australia-wide need a reliable, secure method of connecting all of their offices. DataLink allows them to do just that.

DataLink is delivered over the Request network.

DataLink delivers:
  • Seamless connectivity. It is designed to connect your separate office networks as if they were one.
  • Affordability. It offers great value - especially when compared to the alternatives (eg. ISDN and Frame Relay services).
  • Simple pricing. It has a simple price structure - a fixed monthly fee that relates to the speed you select and the distance between your offices.
  • Reliability. requestDSL provides a service level agreement for 99.5% availability.*
  • Flexibility. DataLink makes it easy for you to increase or decrease the speed of your service, to match performance and budget requirements.
  • Always monitored. It is monitored and managed, end-to-end, round-the-clock, including remote monitor-ing of the router in your business premises. A service response is initiated by us if a fault alarm occurs.
  • Ready to connect. Implementation is enabled by a standard ethernet connection from your existing network to the router on your premises.
  • Fast delivery. This is a completely managed installation process, and is available within 21 business days from order.
